8 Ways On Overcoming The Fear Of Success

Today we will be talking about 8 ways on overcoming the fear of success in life. Its so easy to do, when you understand that all of life is the game of the mind, the inner talking to yourself.

We have all been there, we have great plans, we have a goal but that weird feeling steps in and makes everything fall apart from the inside out.

It’s time to say no more! The fear of success shouldn’t be a ruling factor in our lives and it’s time we make it go away forever with the following 8 tips.

8 WAYS ON OVERCOMING THE FEAR OF SUCCESS:

1) Read Positive Thinking Books

Books are extremely powerful. In fact, they are so powerful that in ancient times some of them were burned to keep people from introducing ideas into their minds that would affect the social order.

The good news is that you can use them for your advantage. By reading books that foster a positive mindset you will start to develop one. Audiobooks are also recommended.

Feed your mind with success and the fear of it will become a thing of the past. Try to read 1 book or more a month.

Most unsuccessful people don’t even read 2 books per year, and if they do its on fantasy. Hows that going to help you become financially independent?

2) Choose to Be Around Positive-Minded Individuals

Do you remember the last time you had a great desire to watch a movie just because a friend told you how great it was? The same thing happens with success.

The more you surround yourself with motivation-driven people the more you will feel confident in all of your endeavors.

Also, root out those people who may be harming you by projecting their own self-doubts onto you.

If it’s a family member just focus on all there good qualities, don’t let the negative effect your images on the screen of your mind.

3) Practice Mindfulness

The key to crack the fear of success is to be aware of your negative thoughts when they arise. This way you can change them before they start growing like a snowball.

By being aware of your thought patterns through meditation, done twice a day for at least 20 minutes, you can raise your self-awareness.

On top of that, it has been proven that meditation activates those areas in your brain that stimulates calmness and self-confidence. Calmness is essential to success.

Someone who is extremely anxious or stressed all the time never gets anywhere and people don’t want to be around that kind of energy.

4) Feel The Fear

Although this may sound daunting, allowing ourselves to feel and challenge the fear of success will allow us to get rid of it.

This is called Exposure Therapy in psychology and it has been used to extinguish a myriad of phobias in many people.

Thus, allow yourself to feel the fear and be aware of how it starts dissipating until completely disappearing.

On the other side of fear is your life dream, your calling. The fear is just a bad self-image and past experiences running 100 miles a minute on a subconscious level.

5) Be Compassionate With Yourself

Doing so will not only have you feeling good but it will also decrease your anxiety levels according to many studies.

Any time you feel you have made mistakes start embracing your humanity and accept that those mistakes are part of your life and it is perfectly OK to fail!

It’s apart of success to fail. Visualize yourself being really successful and understand that you are God’s highest form of creation living in a physical body.

You have no limits. You can do anything that you see on the screen of your mind that’s within reason. (you know what I mean lol)

6) Prepare Yourself Thoroughly

One of the main reasons why people are afraid of success is because they think they don’t have the skills required to do the job.

If you practice and master the knowledge and skills needed to achieve the goal you want to reach, then you will feel more backed-up to take things to a good ending.

For instance, if you are thinking about starting a business, then knowing business basics as well as improving your interpersonal skills will make you feel more confident about succeeding than if you just start from scratch.

7) Accept Your Weaknesses

We all have weaknesses. A reason that lies deep behind the fear of success, is that once you achieve it, then people will get to know yourself fully, weaknesses included.

This may or may not be true. In either case, it is perfectly OK to have weaknesses and to work on improving them as much as you can. Acceptance is the first step towards conquering the fear of success.

8) Seek Emotional Support

No man is an island. Seeking and finding someone you can trust and can give you that emotional boost you need at the times when you are feeling down is of utmost importance.

For some people it’s their parents, for others their spouse or kids. If needed, a psychologist can also be that person who can give you another perspective on what is occurring so you can face things with the appropriate mindset.

Conclusion:

All of these tips are meant to work together for you to get rid of that unpleasant fear of success.
